Kate is a senior HR specialist with over 25 years’ experience in the full range of HR functions within both the public and private sector across operational, tactical and strategic HR.
Having studied Psychology as part of a Bachelor of Arts and possessing Masters level academic qualifications, Kate is qualified in the use of Mercer Job Evaluation Management System (JEMS) Methodology, Lominger Leadership Architect (Interview Architect and Voices Feedback and Coaching) and DDI, Targeted Behavioural Interview Selection Accreditation. Her skills and experience have been recognised by the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and she has been awarded Fellowship. She has operated in a range of Human Resource Management positions within Local Government, State Government and the University sector.
Kate has extensive experience specialising in all aspects of human resource management with the Queensland Government and has been regularly sought by organisations to share her experiences and speak at events. Kate has also tutored and provided guest lectures at graduate level in Bachelor of Business at QUT focusing on human resources and organisational development. Kate has a long history in recruitment and selection as a line manager and as an external consultant in executive recruitment and large scale recruitment processes within the Queensland Government.
Kate brings a comprehensive talent management perspective to critical recruitment projects along with an understanding of merit principles and best practice in merit based recruitment and selection. Kate understands and has contributed to the development of policy and practices in the Queensland Government while also bringing a wider perspective from her private sector experience.
